Robert and Albus moment
As we settled in the compartment, arranging our belongings, a male voice made itself known. "Miss Gryffin?" he introduced himself, sounding unsure yet sweet. It was Robert Gibson, the Hufflepuff prefect. Robert was in his seventh year, making him a year older than me. He had golden hair and light brown almost yellowish eyes. His pale complexion was adorned with a large scar with three scratches that marked his chin, making a contrast with his sweet expression. He was tall and slender, yet athletic. Although I had heard about him from the girls last year, as the former Quidditch captain and one of the top students at Hogwarts, I had never had a conversation with him myself.
"I would like to introduce myself, I'm Robert, Robert Gibson. I've heard a lot about you, if I may say so," the boy said as he extended his hand for a handshake, which I accepted.
"You've heard a lot about me, Mr. Gibson?" I asked curiously. Natty and Poppy had already taken their seats behind me and were attentively listening to the conversation.
"Well, who hasn't really? You saved the magical world, you've been on the front page of the Prophet more than once," Robert laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his neck. "And please, just call me Robert."
"I'm not sure I'm that famous, if you'll allow me. I just did what needed to be done," my words were cautious now. My gaze shifted away from the boy as I tried to calm the memories in my mind. "And I don't believe I should take all the credit." I lifted my gaze again, offering him a friendly yet melancholic smile, trying to mask my true feelings.
"You shouldn't be so humble if what you did is true," Robert gave me another sweet and knowing smile. The boy was known for being determined and self-assured, but in this conversation, he seemed tinged with a slight embarrassment and clumsiness. "I hope to see you around the halls, Miss Gryffin."
"Albus, just Albus is fine," I said, causing him to pause before leaving the cabin. He looked at me with what I would call tenderness, and this time there was a sense of calm in his demeanor.
"Alright, we'll see each other, Albus. Ladies," he finally said, also bidding farewell to Poppy and Natty before heading to his own cabin. I sat with Natty, adjusting my skirt on the seat.
"To be honest, I understand why the girls talk about him so much, he's quite handsome..." Natty said, giving me a playful elbow nudge, implying something. I looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"Robert is a good guy, always helping others when he has the chance. His fame is well-deserved, I can assure you," Poppy commented, settling into a more comfortable position in her seat. "And it seems he's interested in you," she added, now looking at me playfully.
A soft laugh escaped my lips. "He's not interested, I'm just the 'great heroine of Hogwarts,'" I said almost in a sigh, emphasizing my title. It could be true that Robert was a sweet and attractive guy, but he admitted himself that he approached me because of my fame. Poppy and Natty exchanged looks, shrugging and denying as if I was a lost case.
