Albus remembers very little of her childhood; most of it feels like a bad dream. She was raised in Spain by her Muggle mother, Elena, in a poor village on the Atlantic coast. Elena feared that the Muggles in the village would discover Albus' powers, so she lied to them, saying that she was very ill and couldn't leave the house, even forbidding her from having friends. Even though Albus knew this rule, Albus would try to sneak out of the house, curious about life beyond those walls, but his mother always caught her in the act. Despite her strictness, Albus had a strong bond with his mother, and they spent their days together doing various activities. Elena was the biggest pillar in her life. She was a sweet and humble woman, yet strong, Albus’ role model and the person she trusted the most. Every night, Albus slept with her due to her constant nightmares, all featuring the same disturbing images: a fire, a house, and a man.
